Vision
The vision of the Young Adult Missional Movement (YAMM) is to identify and encourage all expressions of young adults in mission and in service in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Mission

Young Adult Missional Movement (YAMM) is a program of The Florida Conference of the United Methodist church that provides opportunities for young adults ages 18 – 30 to get connected in communities throughout the state of Florida in order to serve others while living in intentional community.
Young adult leaders receive meaningful, hands-on experience working with social justice agencies and church communities involved in social change. The focus on intentional community provides a support system while wrestling questions of meaning, purpose and life's next steps.

What We Do
Young adults serving through YAMM program commits to one or two year of local service, as well as intentional community living, spiritual formation, discernment, professional development and community practices. In return for serving at a local community base organizations and churches, YAMM intern members receive housing, health insurance, professional and spiritual development opportunities, and a small personal stipends to cover living expenses, transportation, and food.
For many young adults, the time serves as an opportunity for vocational exploration. Most of our interns move into positions of leadership within nonprofit organization, local churches, the and the wider United Methodist Church. Applicants must have a desire to serve in a community-based organization or a church and to live in intentional community. Additionally, the applicant should be mature and possess the willingness to grow, be a humble learner, and have the ability to be authentic.
